About Me

I'm Jeff.

I’ve graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University four times; first in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in History, again in 2006 with a Master's degree in Teaching, yet again in 2009 with a Post-Baccalaureate Graduate Certificate in Instructional Technology and in 2015 with another one in Online Teaching. I bleed black and gold.

Since 2009 I’ve worked as an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher at a middle school and high school in an urban district. Prior to that I spent four years teaching World Geography to 9th graders, a year as an Americorps reading tutor in an elementary school, and several years before all of that as a substitute teacher. I also spent half of high school and college doing the “You know you’re from Richmond when...” thing of working for Ukrop’s Supermarkets.

I live with my wife Jenny, our two sons, two lovable but dimwitted Cocker Spaniels, and two cats in Sandston, Virginia.
